Tagum City  is a First Class City of the 1st Congressional District of the of Davao del Norte, Philippines and serves as its provincial capital. It is also the center of commerce and trade. It is located 55 kilometers north of Davao City(it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes travel), the main economic and administrative center of Region XI. The city is part of Metropolitan Davao (Metro Davao), and is the crossroad of major cities in Northern Mindanao, Eastern Mindanao, and Southern Mindanao. It has a total land area of 19,580 hectares.According to the 2010 census, more than 450,526 people live in 43,193 households.

Well-known for being the Palm Tree City of the Philippines and Music Capital of Mindanao. A city where a variety of festivalas are held one of them is the Musikahan Festival. Tagum City is also home to the world's biggest wooden rosary, made out of ironwood, which can be found at the Christ The King Cathedral, which is incidentally also one of the region's biggest Catholic churches.
